A little about me

A calm presence in a beautiful, tender season.

Hi, I’m Heather Allen, the heart behind Peace of Mind Doula Services. I bring over 20 years of experience caring for newborns, children, and families, along with a background in postpartum doula care, newborn care, and early childhood education.

I believe that when a baby is born, the entire family deserves to be nurtured. I offer calm, practical, nonjudgmental support—whether that means tending to your newborn overnight, helping you navigate feeding, or simply making room for you to rest and recover.

My goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and more confident as you find your own rhythm. You don’t have to do it all alone.

Common questions

A few things you may be wondering.

Have another question? I’m always happy to talk through what your family needs.

When should I reach out about postpartum support?

Whenever you feel ready. Some families plan support during pregnancy, while others reach out after their baby arrives. We can talk through your timing and needs.

What does overnight doula support look like?

Overnight care is tailored to your family and may include soothing and tending to your baby, helping with feeding-related tasks, and creating opportunities for parents to rest. We’ll discuss your preferences in advance.

What areas do you serve?

Please reach out with your location and expected due date. I’m happy to discuss service area, scheduling, and what might be a good fit.
